One of their classics and must try tacos is the Al Pastor, served on soft tortillas filled with pork shoulder which has been marinated for 24 hours topped with caramelised pineapple, guacamole taquero and coriander. In fact, this is the dish that the restaurant has been named after – definitely worth a try!

 

La Bodega Negra

Where: Soho

La Bodega Negra is breaking the norm and spicing things up with their sex shop frontage. Don’t let the neon lights and the exciting entrance of this nightclub like restaurant distract you from the delicious Mexican food on offer inside. The soft flour tacos at La Bodega Negra are quite indulgent with filling like 28-day aged rib eye tacos, crispy pork belly, duck and our favourite soft shell crab tacos.

This joint is certainly not one for a quick bite of taco it offers a whole experience in itself, as soon as you descend into the restaurant expect candlelit setting with loud music and a thrilling atmosphere. Also be sure to check out their extensive tequila menu – you won’t be disappointed.

 

Zuaya 

Where: Kensington

Zuaya maybe a newcomer to the restaurant scene in London but one thing we can say for sure is that their tacos are worth being on the list of best tacos in London. Inspired by a jungle theme, you are in for an experience at Zuaya with fusion flavours from Peru, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. The menu only features 3 taco dishes: lamb purple tacos, squid black tacos and salmon green taco. The stand out is the lamb purple taco, the tortilla is soft and filled with slowly-braised lamb shank flavoured with Moroccan Ras El Hanout spice, smoked coriander and pineapple – it’s just as delicious as it sounds!
