Florattica : Sky-High Brunch and Cocktails With A View

Amidst the bustling streets and iconic landmarks of London, there exists a hidden gem that marries the elegance of brunch with the allure of handcrafted cocktails, all under the vast expanse of the city’s skyline. Florattica, East London’s brand-new rooftop bar, offers sweeping 180-degree views across the city,stretching across iconic London landmarks from the Gherkin and the Cheese grater, to St Paul’s.

Nestled discreetly on the 11th floor, it has quickly become a coveted and exclusive rooftop haven. The elegant and refined interiors feature ceilings adorned with floral installations inspired by East London’s textile industry and the silk woven floral patterns created by local 17th century French Huguenots. Part of the Canopy by Hilton, Florattica boasts its own dedicated entrance and a private lift that takes to straight to the rooftop.

On the edge of The City, Florattica boasts seating that flows from the inside to an expansive heated and covered outdoor terrace, providing a wonderful spot for cocktails and small plates, high above the fast-paced city workers below. The terrace is the place to be if the weather permits however, if you opt for indoor seating, you won’t miss a thing, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows that offer an equally impressive view of the city.

Florattica evolves with the changing seasons. Currently on offer is the weekend brunch menu which can be enjoyed with London’s skyline as a backdrop. The brunch menu is a meticulously crafted three-course affair that takes you from the flavours of Italy to the vibrant streets of Asia. Your culinary adventure begins with the delectable trio of Pane carasau, Nocellara Olives, and Basil Pesto, appetisers follow with a choice of Prawn Dim Sum, Vegetarian Gyoza with soy or cured meat selection. And to finish, choose from a Traditional Lobster Roll with Crème fraîche, Lemon Oil & Chives, Burrata or Asian Glazed Chicken skewers with Teriyaki Sauce.

Pair the delicious brunch offerings with handcrafted cocktails. The cocktail menu is designed and created by Head Mixologist, Eleonora Esposito, where every cocktail becomes a form of artistry. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails are crafted with precision and flair and have been developed with premium spirits and local ingredients, providing a clean and crisp selection that represents a sensory journey through the elegant and aromatic world of flowers that Florattica takes its inspiration from.

Drinks include Alma, a herbal cocktail made with Casamigos Blanco, Hibiscus Amores Espadin, Ancho Reyes, Lavender Syrup and Citrus, Cyanar a savoury and herbal blend of Black Garlic Infused Tanqueray, Campari, Mancino Rosso and Clarified Artichoke Juice and a sweet and sour tipple, Inca made from El Gobernador, Maraschino, Marigold Syrup, Lemongrass Air and Citrus.

Non-alcoholic drinks are given just as much consideration, Elixir made with Three Spirit Elixir, Jasmine Cordial and Green Tea and the Aphrodita with Three Spirit Livener, Elderflower Cordial, Citrus being staples on the menu.

For those not visiting for brunch, a refined à la carte menu is also available, offering small plates, including Native Oysters with Champagne, Raspberry & White Balsamic Vinaigrette, Homemade Sushi Selection (Nigiri, Maki, Sashimi), and Burrata with marinated heritage Tomato with Focaccia Croutons and Basil Oil. The second section of the food menu is a selection of sharing dishes featuring a Charcuterie board with Coppa, Palma Ham, Bresaola, Salame Finocchiona to share between two, and Cheese Selection with Baron Bigod, Cashel Blue, Katherine, Sheep Rustler. The dessert menu is very enticing offering a Lychee and Rose Mousse, crafted beautifully in the shape of a rose, alongside a Magnum Mousse.
