Casa Mana : Farmhouse in Mallorca

If the idea of a luxurious cosy farmhouse holiday appeals to you, but you can’t decide on a destination, we have just the suggestion.

A fully restored 110-year-old farmhouse, Casa Mana, has been completely transformed into a sustainable luxury rental farmhouse whilst still maintaining its original charm. Casa Mana is surrounded by nature, yet located 25 minutes away from Palma and 30 minutes away from Pollença beach and port.

Overlooking the UNESCO World Heritage Site Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, this charming property is owned by photographers Ana Lui and Matias Alexandro. They decided to restore the 110-year-old finca using breathable materials, local stone and mortar, as well as reusing everything they could to make the house more sustainable. Together they have created a place where you can feel at home and close to nature.

On arrival, you will be treated to a glass of locally produced wine as you gaze out towards the mountains, and relax.

Casa Mana spreads over 2 floors, the ground floor opens up to a vast entrance hall, along with a horse stable room that features the original 110 years old stone floors and walls. This social hub of the house is an open-concept space with polished concrete floors, lofty wood-beamed ceilings and a pair of large sliding glass doors opening out onto the terraces and gardens. The decor is understated, informal and eclectic, a meeting of bespoke artisan-crafted pieces, contemporary art, designer furnishings and echoes of rusticity.

The kitchen is fully equipped with modern amenities and access to the outdoor terrace overlooking the mountains. In fact, the terrace wrap around the house giving you plenty of Al fresco options, The open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area flows out onto the main terrace, which is furnished with a dining table and benches. Outside you will also find a 15 m-long salt water pool which is served by a shady sitting area and barbecue.

On the ground floor you will find one of Casa Mana’s four bedrooms, a spacious double room overlooking the garden. As you head upstairs to the first floor, there are the 3-bedrooms, one master en-suite bedroom and 2-bedrooms with double beds that share a bathroom.

Casa Mana is set on 4 hectare organic land that is a home to wonderful olive and carob trees as well as an on-site farm, Terra Mana, where you are encouraged to pick your own fruits and vegetables. Around this quaint village are some of Mallorca’s most renowned wineries, which we highly recommend visiting.
