Rolls-royce Unveils It’s First Fully Electric Car : Spectre 

Rolls-Royce have just announced the launch of their first fully electric motor car, the Spectre. Spectre positions Rolls-Royce’s entrance into the electric world as a stamp of leadership, with the first cars being available to the public in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Spectre is not only an historic moment for Rolls-Royce, but also an historic moment for electrification. With Spectre, the marque confirms that the technology has reached a standard that can offer the luxurious Rolls-Royce experience whilst being entirely electric.

It also marks the start of a new era for Rolls-Royce, in which the entire product portfolio will be fully-electric by the end of 2030. Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, says “Spectre sis an incredible motor car, conceived from the very beginning as our first fully-electric model, is silent, powerful and demonstrates how perfectly Rolls-Royce is suited to electrification.”

To ensure that this transformative car is sufficiently prepared for the most demanding consumer in the world, currently, Spectre is being subjected to a journey of more than 2.5 million kilometres in testing. The first car is estimated to be available to the public in the fourth quarter of 2023.

With Spectre, Rolls-Royce has entered into a ground-breaking ‘Decentralised Intelligence’ system that allows for the free and direct exchange of information between more than 1,000 vehicle function. The Spectre is expected to have over 300 miles of range and produce over 660 lb-ft of torque, with a 0-60 sprint of 4.4 seconds.

The aesthetic of Spectre is contemporary yet timeless, inspiration is drawn from worlds far beyond automotive, including haute couture, modernist sculpture, nautical design, tailoring and contemporary art. Spectre presents a never-before-seen exterior colour option, Chartreuse, a vivid shade replicating the green tones of the French liqueur originally made by monks in the mountainous region of Grenoble, France.
