Experience a Classic British Tradition at Boxcar Bar & Grill’s Sunday Roast
Boxcar Bar & Grill, a culinary gem, is renowned for its charcoal grill-centric offerings, featuring premium meat and farm produce carefully selected from the country’s best producers, growers, and rearers. Located just a short stroll from Marble Arch on New Quebec Street in Marylebone, this dining and drinking spot has quickly established itself as the neighbourhood go-to spot for outstanding grilled fare.
Introducing Sunday roasts has catapulted Boxcar into the spotlight, quickly cementing its status as one of the best Sunday roast dining experiences in London. Begin your Sunday roast experience by sampling the roasted scallops with Jerusalem artichoke and pancetta or the wild boar sausage roll with blackberry ketchup.
Then delight in one of the signature Sunday Roasts options – the Sunday roast features Hereford Beef Sirloin, a rare breed that’s free to roam and pasture on grass and dry-aged for 40 days, and Free-range Chicken with Sage and Apricot Stuffing. The roast menu is designed to be shared with family and friends or enjoyed on its own. To perfectly complement the mains, Chef Harry Webb skilfully created a selection of delicious baked and charcoal grilled market trimmings, including Charred Hispi, Roasted Carrots, Baby Leek Gratin, Beef Fat Roast Potatoes, and a Red Wine Jus to accompany the dishes.
These plates pair splendidly with the classic craft beers and handcrafted cocktails such as the Pacha with Quinoa vodka, St. Germain, grapefruit and pomegranate. Finish an exquisite roast feast in an indulgent fashion with dark chocolate ganache paired with pistachios and raspberries, or a classic British cheese board paired with crackers and fruit chutney.
In addition to the Sunday roast, from Tuesday to Saturday, Boxcar also offers an all-day menu packed with local meats, fresh regional produce, premium cuts of steak and mouthwatering burgers.
Boxcar Bar & Grill seamlessly blends a modern flair into the classic bistro concept, boasting a rustic yet refined style coupled with a genuinely organic ambiance across its indoor and outdoor spaces. Earthy tones and natural materials like oak, stone, steel, and ceramic permeate the Marylebone hotspot.
The partially-enclosed patio offers outdoor seating protected from London‘s unpredictable weather. Inside, candles on tables and chalk on boards create a warm and laid back vibe. It is a timeless eating and drinking den where the focus remains on quality food, drink and great service.
Sunday roast is available only on Sundays from 12pm. Walk-ins and furry friends’ are welcome. Booking is recommended for larger groups. It is also worth nothing that Boxcar’s Baker & Deli can be found a mere 10 minutes away at Wyndham Place, it is the perfect pit stop for coffee, fresh pastries, salads, sandwiches and afternoon drinks. With an in-house pastry kitchen, all the pastries and breads are made on site.
