Nestled in the prestigious Mayfair, 1 Hotel Mayfair finds its home on the esteemed Berkeley Square, renowned as one of London’s most exclusive areas. Established in 2015, 1 Hotel emerges as a prominent hospitality brand, dedicated to eco-conscious principles in design and operations. Spanning across Miami, Manhattan, Brooklyn, and London, and with additional destinations on the horizon, their vision is to become a trailblazing force in sustainability within the industry.

Boasting interiors by GA Group and architectural finesse from Studio Moren, 1 Hotel Mayfair combines luxury, sustainability, and nature-inspired design. A remarkable feat of reconstruction, built to BREEAM Excellent standards, the hotel creatively incorporates 80% of the pre-existing building structure, reimagined to reduce CO2 emissions and accelerate sustainable practices. The vibrant hum of the city melts away amidst the presence of over 1,300 plants, including 200 local and regional species, and the generous use of raw materials thoughtfully scattered throughout the property.

This luxurious eight-story hotel in Mayfair houses 137 rooms and 44 suites, among them is the one-bedroom penthouse, which is the largest one-bedroom penthouse in Mayfair and come with a wraparound balcony that provides sweeping views along Piccadilly and Green Park. The hotel’s 44 suites, which are located on the seventh and eighth floors and have expansive, light-filled rooms with breathtaking views of Green Park and London’s skyline.

The interior features warm woods, stone, and metals paired with abundant plants, trees, and foliage. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light. Over 500sqm of living green-trellised exterior walls transform former hard surfaces into natural vertical landscapes. Thoughtful touches bring nature into your room with moss walls, sustainable wood from the Windsor Estate, British oak floors and Welsh slate bathroom vanities, hand-chiselled stones and responsibly sourced linens.

 Sustainable has been woven into as many practices as possible throughout the property. Each room features filtered water taps, with recycled wine-into-water bottles, along with use of an efficient irrigation system to nourish our exterior living walls, using the building’s roof area rainwater. 1 Hotel Mayfair extends the eco friendly practices to exploring the city emission-free in their fully electric Audi e-tron.

In keeping with the brand’s mission-driven ethos, 1 Hotel Mayfair has partnered with contemporary artists to convey important messages on humankind’s impact on our natural environments, including specially commissioned pieces such as the impressive lobby “chandelier” created from air plants by artist Patrick Nadeau, ‘Flow’ by marine-plastic artist Steve McPherson, Kate McGwire’s feather installation atop the bar counter at Dover Yard and Herbert Golser’s ‘1’ sign, made exclusively from wood.

1 Hotel Mayfair’s restaurant and terrace, Dovetale, by two Michelin Star Chef Tom Sellers, is grounded in a deep respect for seasonal, organic and locally sourced ingredients. The hotel also houses a signature cocktail bar, Dover Yard as well as Neighbours café which acts a co-working space during the day, transforming into a charming wine bar come nightfall. The hotel’s first floor houses Bamford Wellness Spa and The Field House state-of-the-art gym.
