The world’s first floating pool has opened in London. Suspending at 35 meters, this one of a kind pool appears to float in the air and is totally transparent. The epic pool is part of Embassy Gardens in London’s Nine Elms and stretches from one apartment block to another, 10 storeys above ground.

There is no other pool like the Sky Pool in London in the world yet. Dive into this 25 meter heated pool, which is the largest free-standing acrylic pool structure in the world. Given the high location swimmers can enjoy sweeping views over London, from the Houses of Parliament to the London eye while also seeing the London streets underneath.

Naturally, the world’s first transparent Sky Pool took quite a bit of planning and time to execute this brilliant idea. According to property developers Ballymore, the acrylic pool was developed in Colorado, U.S. and was put through “extensive strength testing” before being transported to the U.K. Originally the Sky Pool in Embassy Gardens was set to open in 2020, however due to the delays from the coronavirus pandemic the opening was delayed and is now set to open with a opening party featuring synchronised swimmers and radio DJ Ronan Kemp.
